Cicero-North Syracuse girls basketball team advances to semifinals of Nike Tournament in Phoenix
Bree had 33 points and apparently terrorized the Dr. Phillips girls on defense.

The Cicero-North Syracuse girls basketball team is proving to be a formidable foe at the Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix.
Less than 24 hours after knocking off the nation’s No. 1 team, the Northstars cruised to a 48-28 victory over Dr. Phillips (Fla.) in the TOC quarterfinals, snapping the Panthers’ 28-game winning streak.
Dr. Phillips shot just 13 percent for the game.
C-NS (4-0) used a 17-0 run in the second quarter to open a 27-16 halftime lead. The Northstars then closed the third quarter with an 10-0 burst to take a commanding 46-25 lead.
The Northstars face Wesleyan at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the semifinals.
