I called it, predicted the upset on Gametime. However, gotta say nice showing by Wes Terzi. Tony and Al should be proud.
 
Most impressive win of the night was New Canaan dominating both sides of the ball against a powerful Middletown team. Drew Pyne is apparently getting many D1 offers and he's only a sophmore. Notre Dame, Alabama, FSU, and several others.

SWC not too shabby either with Masuk and Barlow winning. Masuk must of rested their first string against Newtown. Fitch was a very good team, beat NDWH and NFA during the season, and Masuk destroyed them.

FCIAC and SWC are the winners tonight. Masuk will get zero love for that win on gametime even after many predicted Fitch to beat them

This was an issue before. I understand why the CIAC wants to play on Sunday, but they knew this would be an issue with FCIAC teams who have a strong Mormon population.

Only thing that explains the stinker against Newtown is resting a lot of the starters. Masuk destroyed Bunnell 46-14 early in the season, and Bunnell blew out Newtown like 45-0 the week before Newtown beat Masuk.

And losing that game to Newtown dropped them below the cutoff to take a nice ride to Fitch. If that gives them a home game against NC they could be underdogs in an interesting matchup. (at the recently 2006 updated Benedict Stadium Field)

Brackets are up on the CIAC FB Page. Every game at 12:30. St Joes Rocky Hill venue TBA. Barlow gets a home game- lol!!!

Saw Fitch earlier this year - nice rounded team but I wouldn’t use NDWH as a barometer - they were horrible this year... 3-7.

I saw a rumor that Newtown had mid-season transfers from Joes and Prep who played in the Masuk game. Not sure if it was true

25 penalties on MHS with 22 being accepted. It was one of the worse called games I have ever seen in 40+ years.
I won't take anything away from New Cannan as they are a very good team and have an excellent quarterback. But the calls were one-sided and took Middletown out of their game plan. I know the CIAC will do nothing, but I would have protested the game for some of what I saw.

If Minicus and Darien's top tackler, Nick Green, were playing for Darien, then 21-0.

Masuk has some key starters out for the game. Top receiver Ryan Shaw will not play and the QB has a broken bone in his foot, he will suit up for the game.

If Greenwich is healthy, Negron, Harris, and Muir all are 100%, they have not been last two or three games, then 56-14. I'll wager Comizio scores at least four touchdowns today.

Highly possible that all four division champs will come from Fairfield County.
