FYI, The first coach I ever heard of doing this was Rollie Massimino when he coached in Philly.

UConn women sign home-and-home series with Little Rock - Hartford Courant
When I first saw the game info I thought ... well, never mind what I thought. This is what UConn does for its players.
My first though was this is awful early-scheduling homecoming game 1/2 way through a Freshmen season. There are a couple of recruits in that part of the world though that are on UCONN's radar. Sasha Goforth & Elauna Eaton are in state (AR) and Gusters and Andrews are from a neighboring state (TX).

Nice he could get one in her hometown. UCONN will also be playing a couple games in Memphis which is only about 140 miles from Little Rock. Closer than Fayetteville (Univ of Arkansas) which is about 195 miles from Little Rock.

UALR did win the Sun Belt Conference last year. i.e. they were in the NCAA's last year. So there's that.

(the more you know)

UALR is not bad. They play a really tough OOC schedule and will be competitive again in the Sun Belt conference. They have 2 wins over AAC opponents (Memphis & Tulsa) and I’m sure the Jack Stephens Center will be packed (5,600) for Christyn’s homecoming.

Now if we can just slip CW into the high post we will really start putting more points on the scoreboard.
