CW has had a nice career, even a good career. At times, she has been very good. But she is not the player that was thought she would be, otherwise there would be no need for her to make the quote she did.

Nothing wrong with the career she has had, but when you measure it against expectations, she falls short by a mile. You would think she would be 1st team AA; a dominate, go to player in crunch time who is a tough player to guard and will hit the tough shot and carry the team when needed. Somebody who can't be fully accounted for by the opposition. She is clearly not that player or even close to it. Instead, we had a freshman this past year who had to play that role and she couldn't quite do it either.

In my view she needs to be better defensively on a more consistent basis. More aware on defensive and a bit better on the boards. She needs to make a difference defensively - like blocks and steals and stops. Most importantly, she needs to hit the three with more regularity, and especially when everybody knows who will take the tough shot and she still takes it and makes it. She also needs to incorporate the fake, one-two dribbles and drill the mid-range. But that only works if the defense is worried about her from three.

Otherwise, she will always be a nice-good, sometimes very good player, but not what was expected and not special.

Yes, that's easy...................EVERYONE they play this coming season!!! Win every game by double digits. Especially against the top ranked teams.......Oregon, South Carolina, Louisville, etc. I think we can ALL agree on this. :)

She played her best when she started guarding the other team's primary scorer late in the season.

"No days off" should be CW's mantra this year. She finally started playing in the 2nd half of the year after Geno called her out.
Hopefully she’ll mentor all of the freshmen not to do like she did, and wait until the end of her junior year to play with the mindset she has now, and play with a chip. Show them how to play all the time with a sense of urgency. Napheesa was always “on.” Aaliyah Edwards is always ”on.” They don’t take plays off. They only have one speed.

Remember how Megan was inconsistent and a little disappointing as a freshman and so-so as a sophomore, but became a 1st Team AP All-American as a junior? I think Christyn can make a similar improvement.
