Good write up, that 27-6 in the last 10 minutes is UConn at their most capable. That first 30 minutes was gross. Plus beating Creighton and Marquette on the road, can we bottle those 90 total minutes and have that version of UConn show up for the rest of the season? That version will win a lot of games.
And the first 10 minutes against St. John’s.

He is shooting 37% on threes. The NCAA average is 35.5% so he is just above average on low volume.
I remember against Marquette and DePaul a few weeks ago he couldn’t miss, he was like 7 for 7 in those games. I think he’s better than 37%.

He was 6 for 7 in those 2 games, but he is shooting 37% from 3 for the year. You can think what you want but stats don’t lie. Take out the 2 games you mentioned and he’s probably around 30% for the other games.

I think you’re probably 30% in your opinions. Stewart’s 3pt percentage on the season is better than McNeeley, Karaban, and Diarra. The only one better is Solo.

We weren’t discussing where he stands vs. other players. You claimed that you can’t remember him missing any threes and you don’t believe that he’s shooting 37% from three.

Facts are:
20 for 54 on season. 37.0%
without the 2 games you mentioned: 14 for 47. 29.8%

By the way I didn’t give an opinion but I am 100% correct on the stats.

I’m also pulling for Stew to do great and he has shown glimpses of promise but unfortunately only glimpses thus far.

Stewart can backfill for up to 3 positions, depending on the game plan. I could see him playing 25 minutes per game depending on matchups. .
He’s 2nd on the team in 3pt shooting percentage so yes, definitely put him out there. He’s also a decent rebounder, him and Reed under the basket helped against Villanova.

I don’t know what your original point is? You could say the same thing about McNeeley and Ball, take their two best 3 point shooting games away and their season percentages drop by similar amounts. Also stop misquoting me, where in my posts did I say I dont believe he’s shooting 37% from three? I said quite the opposite. I also said originally I couldn’t remember SEEING him miss any three’s in those two wins where he was 6-7. Obviously I missed seeing that one miss he had. I think you should just stop, with your dumb word salad to make a dumb point that Stewart is only an average shooter and is not as good as his shooting stats appear.
