Chief’s Briefs - Furman Editon

You need to improve your reading comprehension. I praised Karaban that entire paragraph and gave stats to back it up.
My apologies. I misunderstood. I thought you were trying to pull off your own form of negging.

That’s a fair perspective too, but at what point do you stop turning 0-4 from 3pt into going to 0-6, 0-8 or 0-10 when your center is shooting 80% in a particular game? Sometimes it’s just not your night so why not feed the guy who is hot?
Further to your points I watched the first half replay and Tarris passed out of the double team 5 times. Braylon missed 2 3PT, and Solo and Alex each missed one. They were wide open uncontested 3s. The last one Braylon instead took 2 dribbles and dropped a floater.

I rewatched the game and realized that Mullins had a pretty good game subtracting his 0 for 8 threes. He was 5 for 6 from two and had valuable rebounds and defensive stops as well as 6 assists. Ball had two layups but struggled mightily beyond that.
Did you ever ask Mary Todd Lincoln whether, other than THAT, did she enjoy the play?

And I thought Tom House from Furman was annoying.

My point was that although i initially focused on Mullin’s bad decision at end of first half, terrible three point shooting and defensive lapses that on balance he had a decent game. Certainly not perfect.

the point is that many of them were not poor shots
Correct. There were a good amount of open looks. The fact is that Solo is a 30% 3 pt shooter with volume. He is going to shoot 2-7 or 1-6 every game. That's who he is. Alex found a good rhythm yesterday with 4-9 so Mullins is the guy who needs to get hot. If he goes 4-8 last night then we go 9-25, or about our season avg of 36%.

.-.
The 2 steals turned the game. Bigger than 3 point shooting actually.
Mullins and Solo rushing back on defense to avoid Furman scoring on Solo’s turnover was key as well. Their effort resulted in Solo’s layup. Potential four point swing.
