RIP to Paulie Pennino. Only the true Rocky series aficionado will recognize that last name for Paulie and Adrienne. Iconic character and performance.
As a personal sidetone, I've always loved the Rocky series. When my daughter was like 8 and I was watching one of the Rockys, she said "Hey Dad, that guy looks like you". While I always wanted to be Rocky, she was talking about Paulie. And I gotta say, she was right. I'm more Paulie than Rocky....and it's not close. So I always felt a little connection to him from that point.
