As conference play nears, MO has toughed together the 308th grittiest schedule of 345 teams, losing two of its nothing-but-home-games 13 contests leading into the SEC slate. Fellow conference teams flashing a slightly more or less amount of cheek are Mississippi St at #315 (but with one big road game at Southern Miss), Mississippi at #293 (3 road games), Alabama at #289 (3 road games), Georgia at #275 (with 3 road games), Arkansas at #248 (robust 4 road games though), and Auburn at #239 (3 roadies).
Not knocking these SECulent schedules however, as UTenn has once more assumed its long ago traditional spot at the top of the ratings with a dominating performance that will guarantee them the bragging rights through the end of the calendar year unless Stanford can squeeze by in the grit ratings with its home game against UConn.
There are definitely some brazenly weak schedules in the Big East with Pitt at #334, Cinci at #268, Seton Hall at #253, USF at #250, and Syracuse at #240, but at least it doesn't add up to half the conference members in the last third of the SOS, five of the BE is rated in the to 50, and who can say what teams are still in the Big East anyway?
