It was a big recruiting weekend for Texas apparently.

In addition to the transfer of Jatarie White, Texas has now received a verbal commitment from Chasity Patterson. Patterson is the #5 player in the class of 2017, according to ProspectsNations.com, and #4 according to ESPN.

Coach Aston is loading up.

Great get for Aston. I like what she is doing at Texas and it is nice to see her getting them back to prominence. She sure is bringing in a ton of talent. If they don't perform well it certainly won't be due to lack of talent.

Word has been all along that Mulkey has been much more interested in Alexis Morris, who was previously in the top 10 in the HoopGurlz rankings but took a dip to #18, for what reason I don't know. Morris is reported to be a much more defensive minded player.

Mulkey is also very high on Cara Ursin, whose highlight video is eye opening. Her athleticism is through the roof and many believe her to be WAY underrated. She has a very Odyssey Sims quality.

I see that Meghan Walker has Texas in her final four. I wonder if this talent haul that UT has coming in is being noticed by her.

Rellah Boothe recently added Baylor to her list. Mulkey has had some success recruiting in Florida.

The question is how interested is Megan Walker in Texas. The talk I've seen on this and other boards is that Notre Dame and Uconn are favored.

YES first undefeated team in NCAA.
First undefeated in the NCAA Tournament Era, but technically third in NCAA after immaculata 1973 and La Tech 1981. Those were AIAW tourneys from 1972-1982, in which year Rutgers (featuring Chris Dailey) won the AIAW and La Tech won the inaugural NCAA. It was NCAA only after that, with La Tech winning anotherNCAA tourney in its own right in 1988.

As I love pointing out, we can count both NCAA and AIAW and have fewer undefeated teams (five- the three above plus Tennessee 1998 and Baylor 2012) than Uconn alone with six (1995, 2002, 2009, 2010, 2014, and 2016).

That Texas team was loaded. And Kamie Ethridge was one of the best college point guards I have ever seen.

And some Longhorns still remember Clarissa Davis...

Yep...she was and incredible player with a killer pull-up jumper and could also get to the rack and rebound.

CD has the most championships overall.
