A number two seed

Although I think we have an argument to be a a one seed, this would be a good bracket for us.

Why do we always seem to get the Geno and Jeff Show? Maybe the committee won't have Louisville as a probably 2nd round game.

I don't remember UCONN playing Louisville in the tournament in recent years.

We’re fine on this bracket , we need to deal with Louisville and Kentucky before Texas …
We decimated LV already, not worried about them.

Kentucky is a very starter reliant team. Their bench isn't great. If you get Amoore off her rhythm, the team has no real PG. She's also TO prone, so a defender like KK would make life hell for her. Foul trouble for any of the starters, and Brooks doesn't have great options to send in as replacements. This bracket seems like an easier path than most.

For the 4 and 5 seed, we've beat UNC already, and back then we had no Azzi or Aubrey. Maryland looks like a completely different team without McDaniel lately, and they haven't done great.

Texas would be tough, for the frontcourt. Oldarce and Jones are tough. However, their backcourt is incredibly hot and cold. Harmon is nowhere near as good as she was last season, and Booker has been cracking under pressure most of the time. Holle is a good shooter, but she's been cold for a few games. Not to mention the team as a whole almost lost to a Morrow-less and Johnson-less LSU.

I wouldn't read much into the Louisville/Oregon projection because those lower seeds are much harder to predict.

But I think it's extremely likely that the 3 seed in UConn's section will be one of Kentucky, Oklahoma or UNC. Kentucky is perhaps the most likely of the 3.

Creme is not too outrageous with that but it dawns on me that I have almost let slip the opportunity to say Charlie is hitting way above his pay grade. The boy like so many affiliated with ESPN, has biases born of commercial interests.

I would take this seeding in a heartbeat. But if UConn is a the fourth number one or a two seed the other most likely opponent is USC, and I would take that too.

It appears unlikely that UConn will be in the same region with UCLA, Notre Dame, or SC, and those are the teams I would just as soon avoid in a Regional (notwithstanding our convincing win against SC).

Looking at Creme's projections, I think that SC has by far the easiest path to the Final Four. Region 2 is brutal, with UCLA likely having to get past Notre Dame but other teams in that region include LSU, Baylor, Tennessee, and Florida State.

Region 3 is no picnic for USC either, with NC State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and K State (a sleeper if Lee returns).

I know it is just a Creme projection, but I'm guessing he is pretty accurate here.

Is Rebecca Lobo also biased? She’s affiliated with ESPN.

For some reason I haven't seen Rebecca in a coon's age. I do recall times when Rebecca was almost squirming when asked a question about UConn and people here would accuse her of not expressing support for UConn because she did not want to seem a homer.

The NCAA Comm. has a long standing bias toward 1. SEC 2. ACC and Charlie is a follower who is really not a basketball guy like so many of the talking heads in the industry.

These accusations of bias and conspiracy are a curious object. Heavy on frequency but light on evidence.

Again, I'm open to hearing the actual objective evidence that the committee has a “longstanding bias” toward those two conferences (but, oddly, not to the Big Ten, which is going to get the most bids this season).

I just hope that at some point, somehow, we align with Tenn and N.D. I can't wait to beat the crap out of both of those two!
Sorry but I disageee. Don’t want to see ND at any point. I don’t care how much they are struggling; they’ve had our number for the past few years and really seem to rise up to the occasion when they play Uconn.

I say bring on any team BUT SCar or ND again!

Everyone is has bias. If your employer has bias and you want to remain employed you better share that bias to some degree.

Evidence? On a fan board?

Careful there, young Skywalker. You might just get accused of practicing intellectual rigor.

Most folks prefer loud repetition or verisimilitude to verifiable facts, ¿verdad?
