If this is what the Police did in this case it is wrong! I know victim's lie, in my job I just assume everyone is lying and go from there... He did embarrass the University and should have never put himself or her in this position.. Did she bate him? Maybe! Who knows...... I think we can discuss this without attacking each other.

What is it you think he did? Hit her? Then why were there no assault charges? I understand if she didn't want to press charges that they would be dropped, but he wasn't even arrested on an assault charge, so what is it you think he did?
 
Minimum DC! He should not have put himself in that position..... He will learn and should move on. He's a kid who made a mistake..... Is it the end of the world, no!

What's to get? According to the radio, he completed a family violence counseling program and the prosecution was satisfied with his progress. It ain't rocket science.

Based on my experience, le types could just as likely be wrong as any other group in their job performance. Your comments such as "you should never arrest just off one person's biased statement" nice but; ever hear of le types screwing up? How many le types get their city's sued each year based on their misconduct? Isn't Holder a le type, he always does what he "should", right?

Just to be clear, you didn't say "I believe he did it" - you said "I have been in le for over twenty years, NO DOUBT wolf did it." Seems like "no doubt" and "believe" to you mean the same, hmmmmmm, see any problem with that? So if YOU "believe" it that's the same as there being "no doubt"?

What is DC? I've been trying to figure it out, and I'm sure I'll feel stupid when someone tells me, but I'm not a cop and really don't have a clue what it means.
 
I have no doubt he criminally did something wrong. I never said no doubt he assaulted someone. As for bad LE types, unfortunately like any job there are bad people in this career. In this career I pay for bad cops on a daily basis. I am the first one to say someone should get fired when they deserve it. Stop putting a player above the law, I love UConn basketball and have been going games since the Yankee Conference days. But bottom line, Wolf screwed up because he was drunk. That is on him and no one else. I am sure the cops would have preferred to be doing something else than dealing with a drunk, entitled athlete...

Are you kidding? For a campus 2.5 there are few things more enjoyeable than ******* with athletes.
 
Phoenixhusky, it's people like you who give police officers a bad reputation. For you to say you have "no doubt" he did something criminally wrong is, in itself, criminally wrong imo. No one here knows. We believe what we believe. But for a law enforcement official to claim "no doubt" about the reported actions of someone based solely on his own experience with cases involving similar allegations, and no direct, personal knowledge whatsoever pretty much confirms every fear normal citizens have about overzealous and corrupt police work.

Do yourself and everyone else a favor and watch The Central Park Five for a good (i.e., bad) example of where your crack investigative skills lead.

From working family courts, my oh my the stuff that goes on. It's a minefield. I wouldn't assume that hitting a lover equals assault charges.

I actually think the university board might have more to say on this.

Thanks. I really hope he didn't hit her...if he did, it's gonna make it hard to root for him.

Hopefully the girl is willing to speak to the university board. It would be good for the university to hear things from her point of view. She's a student, yes?

He's saying all the right things. Gotta respect the kid for manning up, and 2nd chances are great. I have no doubt he will make the most of it. Looking forward to seeing him play this coming season and hope he anchors our post effectively...

At a minimum we will have 20 fouls available at the 5. Three players who played significant minutes last year and two promising newcomer bigs...it is GOOD to be a Husky fan!
 
I've never hit, slapped or even pushed a woman, but now that Wolf has been cleared criminally and it looks likely that the university will clear him as well, I trust in KO to do the right thing. From all I can tell about our head coach, he is a good judge of character.

People make mistakes (and it does appear that Wolf did make a mistake, even though the charges have been dropped), but unless they are unforgivable ones, they should be given an opportunity to grow from them.

Oh well, if she bated him...that would give a 7 foot 275 pound guy total justification to slap a woman. Completely understandable.

I know you're trolling, but has it ever even been alleged that he slapped her? And I'm assuming the charges were dropped because the evidence was overwhelming, right? Isn't that usually how it works? Indisputable proof of the commission of a crime always leads to the charges being dropped, right? Or did Calhoun drop a briefcase full of cash at the Manchester PD in the middle of the night? Gotta be some cover-up here, right? Maybe Nate Miles played a role? Kick him out of school just to be safe.

Explain your hostility to Ollie. It would make your trolling a little more comprehensible.

ok guys - a police officer makes a statement and people love to pile on the cops. I am not a cop lover but do respect the good ones. I wonder if you guys would pile on an MD if he commented on a medical issue involving a husky baller. We all have opinions on an issue like this and it makes it more difficult because it was/is a male vs female thing. NO ONE KNOWS what happened at that exact momment of contention except Wolf and the woman and most likely due to booze and/or relationship matters it got out of hand. Wolf's been cleared - so be it. Remember - there are people who get tied up in incidents like this every minute of every day and that doesn't make this case any worse than most of those pissing matches. No injuries just embarrasment. Due to who was involved and what the implications could have meant to the season it hit all us husky fans a little to "close to the heart". If he actually hit the woman - I have no respect for the man. Now it's KO's and the powers to be to decide his future - fair or unfair.
