Here's a chart with ESPN predictions of conf champ and POY. Players in italics are not from same team as projected tourney champ. Each class has been shaded.

I would be interested but I could only manage the P4 myself. Haven't been doing my diligence on other conferences like others this season. 🙃

Ok kids. My week has gotten a bit complicated with my parents here, and trying to meet up with them. I've picked a few conferences, along with the P4 for the pick 'em. Thirty one tourneys was a bit much for me to grab all the data.

Please excuse any weird formatting with team name, and the records. Here's the link:

Conference Tourney Pick 'em

(and yes, I filled out the form right away so I didn't forget, LOL)

I may be in the minority here, but while the big conference tournaments are great. The small ones are the ones that I enjoy the most

Just a heads up and Not sure if it's too late to place bets .. but you can bet on the conference tournament winners in Biggest 4 tournaments. Again, if anyone needs any betting advice, my advice is free to the public.

*Don't listen to the naysayers. . my losing streak is turning around starting tomorrow.

I’ve never gotten the grief about Kelly Finley. Seems well liked and her teams always make a run late in the year. What am I missing?

Some 'elimination' games for ncaa already today. Stanford, Nebraska and Miss St doing their best to end their seasons.

Florida and Indiana building on their improved late season effort, but too far off the bubble to be factors.

Add Texas A&M to the list. 14-12. That should end any nonsense about them being on the bubble. Bad loss to Auburn.

Hey gang - thanks to those that filled out a poll for the 10 conf tourneys. Teams involved are playing so it's now closed. Here are the picks:

SEC - SC 8, LSU 2
Big 10 - UCLA 7, Iowa, MI, and MN all with 1
Big 12 - TCU 6, WVU 3, Baylor 1
Big East 0 UConn 10
A 10 - Richmond 6, URI 3, George Mason 1
MAAC - Fairfield 7, Quinnipiac 3
Ivy - Columbia 6, Princeton 4
WCC - Gonzaga 10
Big South - High Point 9, Radford 1

KanSt with huge win over TexTech in B12 Tourney. Now at 17-16, KSt might be able to snag a postseason bid

A few conferences are still finishing up regular season, we don't have the usual weekly games thread, so I'm gonna hijack this on a little bit. Just have to ask (or rather tell) @triaddukefan that we definitely needed to throw out the record book for Utah Tech @ Utah Valley today. Tech came in with the better record, but UVU thumped them by 21.

Also looking like Murray St. and UIC going down to the wire. Looked like Murray was in trouble most of the game. They grabbed a lead late, but now UIC is back up 1 w/ under 10 seconds left. Some drama in the Missouri Valley.

UIC fouled a 3 point shooter w/ 1 second left, made all 3, Murray St. wins by 2. How do you commit a foul in that situation?!

Notes from the P4 tournaments

#5 seed 3-1, with TxT losing to #12 KSt
#6 seed 2-2, with Tenn (#11 Ala) & Md (#11 Ore) losing
#7 seed 2-2, with MichSt (#10 Ill) & IowaSt (#10 ASU) losing
#8 seed 1-3, with only Washington (USC) winning

(Only) STONE COLD LOCK: #1 UCLA over #8 Washington
UPSET ALERT: #5 ND over #4 NCSt

2 days in a row 2 West Coast Big 10 teams will play each other at what is for them 9 am. Really? How hard would it have been to make this not happen?

The game times are pre-determined by the seeds, with the top seed getting the first game so they get the most rest time.

I don't know about playing an early game really being conducive to getting more rest.

Doesn't it make more sense to put the highest seeded team, I don't know, in a prime time slot when people might be watching on TV and maybe more people would be attending in person? I know, crazy idea.

Game 1 tomorrow is at Noon
Semi 1 on Saturday is at 2 pm
They get 26 hrs between start times, their opponent gets 23.5

Final is at 2:30 on Sunday
Top seed gets 24.5 hrs betwen start times. Opponent gets 22

This is the way almost every conf tournament is done.

I think I'd trade a couple extra hours between games for getting to sleep in longer in the morning. How long before game time do you need to be at the arena? Probably 2 hours or so.

Game is at noon local time, but for West Coast teams who probably haven't adjusted to time difference yet it is 9 am. For UCLA maybe it doesn't matter as much, but Washington got stuck with early game 2 days in a row. As would USC if they had won today.

edit--this wouldn't matter if conference realignment hadn't brought us all this insanity of teams being in the same league but 3/4 of the way or entirely on opposite sides of the country from each other
