Championship Night Michigan Game Haiku | The Boneyard

Championship Night Michigan Game Haiku

The hunt for seven
Concludes tonight in Indy
Do I change my name?

Tarris shows the world
He made the right decision
Dominates old team

Huskies champs again
Dan throws up seven fingers
Haters can suck it!!!

2026
National Championship
Game Day Haiku Post

Solid syllable
counts on display; together
we act as a team

Heading out now; next
stop, Indianapolis
Go UConn Huskies!
Did you consider
"Twenty-Twenty-six" for the
First line of Haiku?

Two-oh-two-six would
Be short on the syllables
Clarity rules all

As I scratch my ass
And stair into the distance
Time passes slowly

This is it, gameday
Nothing else matters today
No work getting done

I solemnly pray
For the Basketball Gods Grace
Over and over

May we see tonight
Fair whistles, lucky bounces, Soft rims
For all our Huskies

Last but most of all
Let's go win Number Seven
Against lofty odds

U!!! C!!! O!!! N!!! N!!!
UCONN!!! UCONN!!! UCONN!!! WOO!!!!
On to Victory!!!!!!

Did you consider
"Twenty-Twenty-six" for the
First line of Haiku?
Yes, I considered,
and its meaning seemed less clear

20 26
made an awkward visual
I went with simple
Two-oh-two-six would
Be short on the syllables
Clarity rules all
Earlier this year
I decided to let go
And accept things more

I still advise to
eschew ambiguity
but do not correct

I reviewed haiku
At Shapiro's Deli, next
to the Stadium

Very loud, almost
all Michigan fans. Stressful
for good counting
