Only a couple "marquis" match ups mid-week.
Tuesday feature is Roma v Bayern. For the BPL fans, City is at CSKA Moscow (no fans allowed in stadium as UEFA punishment for racist beaviors of Moscow fans 3 times in the past year). Chelsea hosts Maribor.
Wednesday's big name matchup is Liverpool v Real Madrid. The other BPL action is Arsenal is at Anderlecht.
Thursday's Europa slate features Inter v. St. Etienne and Lille v. Everton. The other BPL game is Spurs v Asterias Tripoli.

I'm guessing Spurs will continue their trend of sitting regulars for Europa and playing predominantly a B team.

The A team needs time to cough up a second half red-card to the Top-4...AGAIN!

Man City blew a 2 goal lead at HT and ends up settling for a road draw @ CSKA Moscow in an empty stadium. Moscow equalized on an 85th minute PK. I haven't seen the replay but i hope it was an awful dive that never should have been called. Karma's a b1tch.
The rest of the matches are all mid 1st half.
Neymar and Messi puts Barca up 2-0 early over Ajax
Robben, Gotze, and Lewandowski give Bayern a 3-0 lead over Roma
Remy and Drogba gives Chelsea a 2-0 early lead over Maribor
Nani puts Sporting Lisbon up 1-0 over Schalke
Donetsk up 1-0 over Bate Borisov early on.

Bayern is rolling Roma, leading 5-0 at the half. Robben added his second and Muller got on the score sheet.

Wasn't entirely empty, news reports have 200 to 400 fans in attendance. That is not going to go over well with the Europeans. Do they have the nerve to call it a forfeit?

Chelsea is just a beast right now. Bayern served notice that they are not going anywhere. Ajax is not enjoying its tour in the Group of Death.

Biggest upset in Wednesday action is Olympiakos over Juventus 1-0. Basel falling to Ludgorets Razgad is a minor surprise. The rest was straight chalk. Real handled Liverpool, Arsenal with a late rally scoring in the 88th and 90th minute to come from behind and beat Anderlecht 2-1, Dortmund routed Galatasary, Leverkusen over Zenit St pete, Atletico madrid big over Malmo, and lastly Benfica and Monaco playing to a draw.

How does Olympiakos beat Juventus and Atletico Madrid and yet lose to Malmo?

German clubs still kicking butt. EPL not looking so hot with the exception of Chelski.

Listening to the critical British press dissecting the Liverpool beat down should be really entertaining.

The sad fact is last year's success was all because of Suarez and Rogers thinks it was because of him. Balotelli is the Percy Harvin of soccer.
