Between Champagnie returning and another quality get in the transfer portal this week (Hofstra SG Coburn, 6'5", 39% from 3), St John's looks to be a top 6 team in the Big East.

He must have gotten poor feedback from the league. This year's draft is loaded. But next year's draft will be loaded as well.

Probably came back to make a few bucks before he has to work for a living. Good news for the Big East.

He can prob get a great payday. The founder of Vitamin Water/Glaceau isa SJU alumnus and a big supporter of the team. Think he gets a deal with Pirate Brands, Repole’s new company?

Big East is always a stronger conference when the Johnie's are relevant, although it has been awhile.

SJU also has a lot more shooting/scoring and size than in the past. Should be a fun year.
Absolutely.

Earlier this week, St. John's also added Hofstra's 6'5 205 grad transfer Tareq Coburn (15.1p, 39.6 3p%). Vermont's Stef Smith (13.6p, 36 3p%) will help their scoring/shooting too.

St. John's now had 11 scholarships players. Here's their depth:

Guards: Posh Alexander, Stef Smith (Vermont transfer)
Wings: Julian Champagnie, Addae-Wusu, Montez Mathis (Rutgers transfer), Tareq Coburn (Hofstra transfer), Rafael Pinzon
Bigs/Forwards: Joel Soriano (Fordham transfer), Aaron Wheeler (Purdue transfer), O'Mar Stanley, Drissa Traore

Him coming back is great for the conference. However, our bigs are going to eat St. John's alive this year.
