The way he always projects 394 guys (205 of which are Euros) to be going in the First Round. The way he slobbers over the likes of guys like Darko and Tskitishvili. (His piece on Darko back in 2003 is legendary.)

He doesn't ever break anything interesting. Execs talk to him, but they seem to use him to spread disinformation more than anything else.

Ford gets a lot of flack, some of it deserved, but I thought I read somewhere that his mocks are almost always the most accurate.

spot on, especially about the Euro players. Pavel Podkolzin became an internet legend due to Ford's hype job leading up to the 2004 draft, saying his "upside was unmatched" and that he would be the steal of the draft....Podkolzin ended up playing only 6 games in his NBA career. Also, his player evaluations are wildy inaccurate, see for instance this year his description of James Young as being a very good passer despite him being arguably the worst passing wing of those with a first round grade.

Ford's criticisms don't stem from his mock drafts, its really everything besides that. I mean I'll check out the content from DraftExpress any day of the week over NBADraft.net, but draft.net's far out mock draft projections are much more accurate than DraftExpress's, which are all over the place and don't become realistic until most of the correct info is in place.
