The B10 and ACC want the conference champion bye as a check on Notre Dame. I imagine it stays.
They also want it so that a team doesn’t get an advantage by not making the Conf title game. Eg Ohio st and Bama last year.

LOLOLOLOLOLOL Maybe they should have thought of that "Security Council Veto" rule before they let ESPN chew up the Pac 12. 8 Pac 12 teams, one of which would have been guaranteed a playoff bid every year, will now join three other conferences where they have a significantly lower chance of making the CFP. Oregon State and Washington State, on the other hand, are going to have tens of millions in a war chest and a clear path to the CFP every single season.

It is not often that within months a multi billion dollar business decision blows up so spectacularly that everyone involved in making it looks like a complete and total idiot, but that is exactly what has happened with the Pac 12's decision to turn down the Apple TV deal.

If the Pac 12 teams played in other conferences, they would have beaten some of those prospective Big 10 or Big 12 playoff teams. Likewise, if Oklahoma and Texas were in the SEC, then someone would have had to lose when they played SEC teams, pushing someone out of the playoffs.

Dellenger is just a moron. This is one of the stupidest analyses I have ever seen by any journalist on any subject.

They are going to move down to 8 teams. I think 12 is too many.

To be honest, they should just have the SEC champ and the Big 10 champ play in the rose bowl/Sugar Bowl for the national title every other year.

ACC, Big 12. The only real power teams outside of the P2 are Clemson and Florida State. There is no Big 12 team that belongs, and unless you think Miami belongs in the discussion (they don't),

It is staying at 12 and may expand to 16 in 2026. Just because some fans think that there is a "Power 2" doesn't mean school presidents feel thay way. That's why there is a Power 4.

Osu and Wazzu blew it. If they had the pac still going next year they probably could’ve held 6+6.

They should have expanded or merged with the MWC or AAC immediately, even with the ongoing litigation.
