Being the "Temple" of 2016 is a high standard to live up to but I have some serious (and slightly cautious) optimism about Diaco's 3rd year. I think that painful 2014 season is about to pay off this year and simply put if Johnson/Newsome can make teams honor our run game we will get to 7-9 wins. If we move the ball on the ground the passing game will open up and the offense will be fine. Aside from a few games between Cochran and Endres, Shirreffs is the most competent QB we've had since Orlovsky.

Love Lorenzen but watching him drop back to pass never inspired a ton of confidence. He was solid on those '07/'08 teams but even in a 3rd & long situation Donald Brown was still the best option available.
