Maybe I am starting this a few days too early....

I hear Vegas is giving odds on cancellations and the handle is bigger than the over/under (kidding).

Syracuse...big underdog on the road against fountain of youth finder Mac Brown at UNC.

No. 18 North Carolina (-20.5) vs. Syracuse, total 63: Mack Brown enters his second season as UNC's football coach with high expectations after outperforming them in 2019. The Tar Heels return 10 starters on offense, including quarterback Sam Howell. They weren't in the position as favorites much last season, so this is relatively new territory to enter a season as a ranked team and a heavy favorite.

What's with the Sun Belt? Ragin Cajuns about to pull off a win at #23 Iowa State.

GT just got 2 consecutive FG blocked. Its gonna be a long game for them if they can't stop that rush on ST

Texas State v. USTA was surprisingly entertaining. Good fun game.

Great to see FSU go down, although GT was not a supporter of UConn. but FSU and BC were the worst.

I don’t really have a problem with FSU. They wanted the ACC to take football seriously and UConn just wasn’t being serious at the time.

If you are happy that FSU with BC led the charge to block UConn, then you must be happy to see UConn essentially homeless in football. I think we have learned that without a football conference affiliation, every season could become questionable.

Didn’t say I’m happy. I said, we weren’t taking winning seriously——and they knew it. UL was deadly serious, even criminally so, so they got the nod.

Tulane pulled one of the hat. Their QB is horrendous, but their run game is really strong and saved their bacon.

This is amusing (from ESPN):
Pitt was a 30-point favorite for its game against FCS foe Austin Peay on Saturday. It wasn't exactly safe money. Pitt hadn't beaten an FCS team by 30 since 2014, and it narrowly edged Delaware last year 17-14. So backers should have been pleasantly surprised when the Panthers led at the half 42-0. Easy money, right? Ah, not so fast. Or, more clearly -- way too fast. The teams agreed to 10-minute quarters in the second half due to the blowout, reducing the game to just 50 minutes total, which was five minutes short of the requirement for Las Vegas books to pay out, so all bets were canceled.

Also, great tweet from Arkansas St. vs Kansas St. game:

Coastal Carolina beats Kansas to wrap a 3-0 day for the Sun Belt vs the Big 12. South Alabama almost beat Tulane as well. Sun Belt could be a fun little conference to watch.

Sun Belt has some good ball. Combination of 2-star recruits with a 3-star occassionally thrown in. Add in a few transfers from P5 schools looking for PT and you can get some good ball. Their recruits are usually late bloomers, under the radar or not quite right size for their position.

South Alabama has a nice new stadium and the Senior Bowl is moving there in 2021 from Ladd Peebles stadium where it had been played.
