Good to see Chris finally getting some props.

One of my favorite moments from Kingston: following the Regional Final win, Geno was busy being interviewed, so CD had the team all to herself, with Shea and Marissa, and the ESPN cameras were on CD huddling with the team. It was hard to hear what CD was saying but the body language and smiles, heads nodding, made it clear that she was giving them a very positive message after a job well done.

Very nice to see that.

I thought it was also nice that when Kelly fouled out she sat down next to CD, no words were exchanged, but CD give her a little pat on the knee, as if to say 'you did all that you could, sometimes it just happens.'

Rewatching that video, I saw that CD gives as good as she gets. No wonder she and Geno have lasted so long!

Mock dismissals aside, Auriemma said the last time he thought she might leave was several years ago when a job opened that he knew she wanted but ultimately didn't get.

What was the job?

What was the job?
Rutgers, probably. I know she wanted it but they went with CVS.

From every perspective but one, wouldn't she be the perfect candidate for the Tennessee job (if it were to open up as I believe it will)? Right gender, right experience, right skill both with recruiting and actual coaching.

But the Summitteers would rise up in righteous indignation if she were announced. They would see it as an admission that their program has something to learn from the Evil Northern Empire.

Speaking of which, they might feel that her roots above the Mason-Dixon line would also be a disqualifier.

What was the job?
President of the United States. She wanted to run the practices on the White House courts.
