Yeah.... CCSU shouldn’t have hired him. He didn’t have enough coaching experience. Howie was a proven coach with a good pedigree having coach with Calhoun. The board went with DM because of his playing reputation thinking it would translate into good recruiting but he hasn’t worked out.

They have two decent freshman from chicago. Who seem like they are their best two players. Prolly a sign why they are bad.

Especially after Tyler Kohl graduated. A CCSU all-time great who did everything for CCSU for the last two years.
Another big loss is Joe Hugley, one of their better frontcourt players last year, transferred to ETSU and who'd blame him? I'd rather be a role guy on one of the better mid-majors in the NCAA than be a key player on a terrible team. Tyson Baptise, one of their more sure-handed ball-handlers also transferred, with him getting a grad transfer year starting for Citadel.
Bottom line, Donyell has been 31-66 (32%). It's gotta be his last year.
