Here's Gary Parrish and Rob Dauster discussing UConn's outlook this coming season. About half an hour long. Skip to the 9:00 mark if you don't want to hear Parrish and Dauster yuck it up about their families and all kinds of stuff I don't care about.

Adding more to his game as a potential bootyball threat would be a nice wrinkle.
Wtf does this mean

They talked way more actual basketball in their other summer shootaround videos
Couldn’t emphasize this more - so frustrating haha. 10 min on peach jam and travel baseball

I thought this was fair analysis. I think Hurley would agree that we must be better on the ball defensively than last year. And we are, then watch out.

Not sure I can believe everything they write. They rank St. John's #1. O.K. that was Gary Parrish. This article says UConn is better than St. John's and will win the Big East.
They're not monolithic!

Yeah which is why I suggested to skip ahead to the 9:00 minute mark. I don't care about their kids going to Peach Jam.

It’s hard to blame them when this series is probably more for the general audience that doesn’t know much about each team, but there’s nothing said in the video that the diehards don’t already know.

I thought the Peach Jam story was cute, especially the part where Mark Pope was humoring Dausters kid multiple times, but Parish’s biggest flaw imo, is he goes off on unrelated tangents way too often. It’s probably why I stopped listening to the CBS pod consistently years ago.

Parrish is a national analyst that doesn't know more about UConn than most of the people on here. I can't expect him to.

Dauster though is a UConn guy that also knows a lot about the national scene and I think his knowledge of the Huskies is as good if not better than most of the die hards on here. Although not earth shattering, his point about the defense and rebounding being potential weak links was valid. I did think it was strange when talking about the defense this coming season that he didn't mention Demary's potential as a taller guard who can be a stopper on the perimeter. Something they didn't really have last year.

Think Villanova with Gillespie or Illinois' offense 2 years against us in the Elite 8. Marcus Domask killed us in the first half by dribbling down into the paint and posting up a smaller guard.
There's gotta be a better term for this.

And then we put Karaban on Domask and then we went a 30 - 0 run. Meanwhile that genius Underwood said they would keep going at Clingan. Sure is nice to have a great coaching staff.

I agree and I pointed out there were 2 different views from 2 different writers at CBS Sports. I obviously was joking around about Parrish ranking St. John's #1 because I strongly disagree with that prediction.

Yeah, Parish had Tarris either as a 1st team All-American or a flop so anyone can give that wide a range. He's entertaining, but better IMHO when explained what did happen not what might happen.

Ingrained in my memory from highlights of the 30-0 run is Stan Van Gundy remarking "I like the matchup change of putting Karaban on Domask" while Karaban streaks to the other end for a transition layup.
