In a strong year for COY candidates, Hurley stands a notch above all others. He's the best coach in college basketball right now. There's not really a debate against it, even if UConn somehow gets knocked off Saturday or Monday night.......

It's always good when somebody sees the light. Going into last season, CBS Sports listed their top 26 coaches and Hurley wasn't one of them. Then they had a follow up column about who got snubbed, and Hurley was never mentioned.

Well deserved Coach!

I only object to the "standards heretofore never seen". Heretofore is not a sports word, and anointing anyone the all time greatest too soon is overdone today.

Sampson and Hurley both deserve the awards. Surprised the SIU coach didn’t win them all. The press fawns over him. Nice job but the competition just isn’t there in their conference. They are a great offensive team.
