Caron Butler hired as Heat Asst. Coach

Great news. Glad to see him get the opportunity and if he coaches with the energy and drive he played with, he will be a very good coach. Always good to see a former Husky player enter the coaching ranks.
 
How long before he's a head coach? Sorry, but it will take longer than 20 minutes.
 
I never knew Caron had any aspirations to become a coach. This has been a great week for UConn guy’s in that respect with Mark Daigneault becoming the HC of OKC, and now Caron getting a job as an asst with the Heat.

This is also good to see more Calhoun/UConn disciples moving up in the coaching ranks. Right now, its Pikiell at Rutgers, Leitao at Depaul, and Burrell at SCSU. I hope Daigneault and Caron will have sucess at the NBA level.

Great News!!! He’ll drip toughness on an already tough team.
 
Good for him. He deserves it.
 
Happy for Caron. He does stuff the right way, no shortcuts. He will transfer that attitude to the players.
 
Probably one of my favorite Huskies, even more so after reading his book. Happy for him.
 
The Young Bucks on their roster will benefit from his wisdom.. Riley knows what he's doing..
