I thought the internship might have been connected to her career path. I know that today many college/masters programs include internships, sometimes multiple internships in the programs. My niece's program at Northeastern was such a program. I believe she served 3 internships during her program.

Want, yes..but sometimes an internship is a(the only) foot in the door...even with a degree. You do what you have to in todays young person job market.

I imagine a nationally known person, with TV exposure, coming off a NC, having graduated from the top women's bb college, probably has a "foot in the door".

Heck, my son who just graduated without any of that, is looking at 4-5 job offers.
