Quite a few watch lists are being announced but this one really surprised me.
Don't get me wrong, Caroline is one of my favs and I hope she has a season comparable to her freshman season, but winning any postseason award would certainly have her exceeding most fans expectations.
I am glad that she is getting some well earned respect and want nothing but the best for her.

Yeah this is like Kelis getting freshman or rookie of the year in the big east, she may not play enough and besides, Blanca will be the one getting it because she will play more. I guess you have to know what’s going on with each team to make lists like this.
 
I'm thinking this is to reward her for her tenacious work in getting back on the court. Hopefully, she'll be what she was as a freshman. But the cutting edge therapies that she's gone through and the success she's had is pretty remarkable. We have a friend of the western half of the family who suffered a crash at the world championships, and has never fully recovered, so in my book, Caroline get's an award just for that alone. Huge respect for her, and hoping she returns to form.
 
Well, unless she starts getting more playing time (and does considerably more with it), I doubt she will be listed for very long. However, when the voting starts, if she's still listed I will vote for her everyday regardless, as she has earned our respect and support for all that she has overcome. I'm still hoping that by crunch time this season, she has worked her way into the top 7 or 8 spot on the roster.
 
Caroline BLEEDS Husky Blue through and through. As dedicated a player I have ever seen. ANY recognition she gets is WELL deserved. It really broke my heart when she was injured and missed 2 years of her playing time. I believe she will contribute worthy of any award that comes her way. GO CAROLINE!!!! GO HUSKIES!!!!!!

This news made me think shade and kk really don’t get a lot of respect at the national level. And Caroline still has some juice because of her terrific freshman season. 🤔

In the other announced preseason hoopshall awards, UConn has no one on the Point Guard watch list.
Azzi is on the Shooting Guard watch list.
I'm guessing that Sarah and Serah will be on the Power Forward watch list.

It's doubtful both will be on the same list. I would suspect that Serah Williams will be on the Lisa Leslie list for post players (centers). However, Jana could be the one on that list instead as the pre-season lists seem to be a bit behind current times.

And I've been put on the sexiest man alive list. Barely alive would have been more like. Poor Caroline and me.
