OT: Carolina Fans in Whalers Gear ?

I hate the Canes, and yet if they played one game a year at the XL wearing Whalers jerseys against the Bruins or Rangers I think that would be fascinating. Maybe a playoff game every 5-10 years. It would be their sister city. Same with Colorado and Quebec City.
A way for the NHL to repair the damage to fans from that city who had their team taken.

I think they’d get booed more than cheered.

I don’t like it. But voted yes it’s good. Anything that promotes the brand is fine in my book. Even tho I die a little bit inside seeing it as presented in this scenario.

What are horrible time the mid to late 90’s were for CT /New England sports fans. 97 whalers gone. 98 failed Patriots bid fiasco. Red Sox and patriots hadn’t won anything and the Yankees were winning everything in sight. I took an absolute beating in middle school and high school from all the NY fans. Fortunately 1999 came along and the worm turned.
