That is 400 mi north of Lost Wages. Historically, Sparks is a blue-collar (Southern Pacific railroad) hard-working town. Culturally, Vegas is part of New Joisey... what can you say about a town whose Founding Father's first name was "Bugsy"?
In northern Nevada our biggest holiday is Nevada Day.. October 31st.. Admission Day.. with a huge parade in Carson City. The biggest event in LV is the annual "Fleecing-of-the-Tourists" celebration... (It's continuous.)
