I'm going to the Georgetown game [Yay!!!] and I'm wondering if anyone here can tell me if Carefirst Arena tends to be cold or warm during games.

Sorry. I honestly don't recall, but I'll probably be wearing a UConn sweatshirt anyway.

I've been to games there in the winter and summer. I don't recall any temperatures out of the ordinary.

BTW, my local girl still has the arena scoring record, 38 points in the DC City Championship game, when she was a sophomore (and Gatorade POY).

.-.
We have arrived in DC — technically Arlington, but whatever — and finally navigated the clumsiest digital ticket process I have ever encountered.
Yeah, that DC government bureaucracy spills out into everything. The closer you get to DC, the worse it is. ;)

Yup. I went to grad school at CUA during the Reagan years and got to see it up close. And I remember Marion Barry -- the "Mayor for Life" -- who was a very personable fellow. He regularly went out and about by himself, without an entourage, to meet ordinary voters. I bumped into him a few times like that. But as friendly as he was, the city government was almost as poorly run as the federal one was.

Well, you don't want too many people around when you're buying your ummm coca-cola.

The amazing thing, to me at least, was that after he got out of the slammer, he got re-elected. He was one charming fellow.
