I was initially surprised at how many posters seem to have "forgiven" EDD. It seems as if she has been adopted as an honorary Husky.

EDD still would have gotten Lymes, whether she stayed or not. She would have still missed her freshman season, plus games her other three years.

Yes, had EDD played for UConn, 2015-16 could have been the year Geno went for a record eight straight national championships, thereby eclipsing John Wooden's NC-winning MCBB teams from 1967 to 1973. And who knows how long the winning streak would have been above and beyond 90.

To caption it, I guess Geno can sour grapes it:

"Nah, it would have been bad for WCBB". :)
 
Just a comment from a CT resident who has been a fan of the WCBB "home team" since Shea Ralph's college days:

Connecticut is a very small state and we are proud of such high achievement because we don't have too much else to point to athletically speaking.

Those who are fans but are from elsewhere might not fully understand this.

Without looking it up, I believe that the Raybestos Brakettes dominated Women's softball at least to the same degree as UConn dominates WCBB.

You are for sure an honorary BYer (I have told you you are actually a UCONN fan - you just don't know it yet). But EDD an honorary Husky, not so much. She had that chance.
