  1. UConn draws first blood as Reed hits a pair of FTs.
  2. Tarris has 8 of our first 10. But 8 minutes in, Duke is scoring virtually every time down the court.
  3. Why/how are we giving up so may rebounds? Pretty sure that Duke has more offensive boards than we have total boards.
  4. Reed on fire again.
  5. 8:16 to go in the half, and our 2 best 3 point shooters are 0 for too many to count.
  6. What may have been the worst foul call of the season on Reed securing an offensive rebound at 6:23 left in the half.
  7. Duke is now double teaming Tarris everytime he gets the ball.
  8. Half time -- These refs have to be all Duke grads. Duke called for 4 fouls in the half, We've been whistled for 10. Duke has taken 12 FTs to our 4.
  9. We have cut what was a 19 point deficit down to 15 at the end of the first half. Still a very daunting task., but at least we've stopped the bleeding.
  10. 2nd half, Tarris continues doing all he can to get us back into this. It's a shame that no-one else seems able to join him in fueling a comeback.
  11. 12 minute mark and our hole is under 10. We just might be able to do this.
  12. And we're within a bucket, 64-67 @ 3:42!
  13. 1:31 remaining, down 4 -- 66-70
  14. 3 points down, our ball, 27 seconds left.
  15. Demary gets fouled and makes one of two FTs to cut it to 2 points. 10 seconds left, Duke ball.
  16. Duke inbounds and their strategy seems to be to avoid getting fouled. Passing the ball before we can get a man on the guy with the ball. 3 passes in 4 seconds. Sorry Dukies,, but that was very questionable strategy.
  17. Demary gets a finger on the third pass, and gets the ball to Mullins, who dumps it to Alex, who has a defender closing on him and swings it right back to Mullins, nearly 40 feet from the hoop.
  18. And the rest is history. Legendary history, at that. Mulllins just earned a permanent place in the Husky Hall of Fame for that game and season saving bucket. Obviously the singular moment of this season so far.
  19. Mullins game saver aside, I'd still vote for Tarris Reed as player of the game.
  20. We have now beaten Duke 4 times since that first championship back in 99. It's mojo baby!
  21. We led this game for all of 55 seconds. 51 following our first score and 4 following our last score.

Great recap and call on Tarris' game.

Whing about refs is for losers. So go ahead Dookies. I mean, come on. Do they have a NIL fund to give refs?

I'll hold to 1 comment. Boozer doesn't get special privileges because he has 55 pounds on Mullins. He body shoulders into Tarris? Probably a no call. The Mullins clear, 100% no call on the charge was as egregious as any favored son call I can remember. He got deliberately bashed into by a really big dude and landed hard on his ass. No flop there at all. Awful, awful missed call that could have taken Mullins out if he hurt him.

Then what?

Survive and advance. On to Illinois. Go HUSKIES!
