Okay everyone, we need to cancel the NCAA's because Brittany Griner and Baylor are a sure thing for this. I mean why even play the game. Everyone is goo goo gaa gaa over Baylor and how they will win.

Please people. Yes they are the team to beat.... but they can be beat. Any team can be beat. UCONN in 97 if I am not mistake was undefeated when they ran into Tennessee... That might happen here...

People said the same thing about UCONN in 09 and 10. Almost exactly. It was Maya Moore, Tina Charles, Renee Montgomery.

UConn was in that position for two years straight. It's time to spread the love...

I would have to disagree. The last couple of years you had people like Carolyn Peek especially.... who would say "This is how you beat UCONN" She always had suggestions as to how to take UCONN down. They always commented about taking down UCONN.

Even with the ridiculous number of times UConn went into the tourney undefeated, I don't recall the talking heads THIS crazy over our chances in the tourney...they ARE talking like they are totally unbeatable. Baylor is very good this year, but I think they can be beaten. I wouldn't mind seeing us play them again!

Rebecca said that anyone that has already played them "could" beat them and that is UCONN, ND, Tennessee (if they get that far, i doubt it).
Should be a great year.

It is hard to disagree with your post. If Tenn plays they way they can then Baylor can lose easily. I also agree with UCONN's chances. We were winning most of the game in Waco. That alone speaks volumes. I guess we will see.

It's over 2 hours after the show and having surfed through the show thread and various other stuff I guess I have correctly (?) figured out that if we do play through and Notre Dame does, we can once again play for the 4th time in one year???

Baylor has had five teams come within single-digits of them, so they're not as overwhelming a favorite as UConn in 2009 and 2010. But they will be really, really tough to beat.

Listen, wiseguy, just answer me befuddled, admittedly embarassing question, will you!! Are UC and ND dancing again to get a shot at the winner of Stanford/Baylor should they win through?

Well I might agree with you, if we didn't have a secret weapon...

Well, there is less than a 5% chance that all four #1s make it to Denver, but yes, if they did, it'd be UConn-ND Part 4 and Baylor-Stanford Part 1.

I was safely tucked into bed when you answered this, but thanks!

Baylor is 34-0. Very few teams have entered the tourney undefeated.
They have beaten the #2 and #3 teams. (And #7).
They have one of the most dominant players in women's basketball (college or pro).

They are more than deserving of praise, high expectations, and the main story line from ESPN.

The 97 UConn is not a valid comparison; not even closely.
