Good thing that she gets 2 days off before they play either Spain or Senegal. Canada should get ready to play Spain because I don't Senegal has a chance in Heck to win.

In spite of a less than stellar shooting performance, Kia still found a way to score 18 points and dish out 6 assists, while playing nearly the entire game. Some BY's have accused her of fading in big games while at UCONN. Well, she didn't fade in this one, coming on strong in the 4th quarter and helping lead Canada to victory. I think it's pretty clear that if Canada is going to medal, it will need to do so on Kia's back for the most part. It's kind of interesting that a player who was more of a contributor than a leader with UCONN and the NY Liberty should need to step up in a leadership role in the more physical international arena, and succeed. I still think we haven't yet seen the best of her. Katie Smith has said that Kia wants to be great. I look forward to watching her progress towards that goal.

Why unfortunate. The man proved it time and time again. Just tuned in for this and I'm so happy for Kia. She really wants Canada to get to the quarterfinals. If you mean should Kia have a bad game they are done.... well, you are probably right, but Canada pays so much attention to its FIBA team, who knows who will light it up. They have shooters and speed. Two attributes Geno certainly likes.
