can we stop judging the fan base?

Thanks. I always felt that you have to read the situation. 500 people in a section together standing and cheering is cool. 5 people standing with an exaggerated sense of self-importance, not caring about those around them is selfish.

I like the ones that turn around and start yelling at the entire section to get up. We have that in 124.

Honestly, the younger kids have migrated to NYC or somewhere else. The retirees are down south.

Pratt, Insurance, etc. once flagship have escaped.

As opposed to Alabama? I'm not buying it.

.-.
If you were in your seat on time you would be there for the Section Captain Elections! LOL!
LOL!! That is priceless.

Hey folks it's as basic as this. You want the rent packed, a ACC/B1G invite, then you have to win football games. Winning solves all of the problems and this program is just not old enough to rely on it's own tradition. We don't have one...yet. Hopefully Coach P can get this turned in the right direction and if he can't next year then changes need to be made. I'm sure everyone, including him, sees that.

But, as far as the fan base goes, it's gonna shrink until they see a winner. There are still over 3 million people in this tiny state that has no major league pro team so UConn is still the best game in town. 30-35,000 home fans a game is easily achieved if they have something worth buying into. You take a 3 hour driving time from the Rent and that's still a lot of UConn grads in the area. When #10 ranked UConn is playing #5 ranked anyone the place will be packed. When UConn is predicted to be a top 10 team for the following year you won't be able to buy a ticket.

You yell at your entire section to stand up? Who put you in charge of the section?

No one. And I'm not in charge. I implore people to get excited. If they do, great, if they don't, oh well - I don't scream at people if they ignore me.
