Has anyone thought that the large number of fouls could be due to bad defensive technique? Reaching in instead of moving feet to get into good position. It can't be all on the refs.

It’s not all on the refs . I made a comment on another thread about solid defense and overly aggressive defense. You can tie shot selection, gamesmanship and Basketball IQ into that also. But regardless, it’s impossible to build a lead or get a rhythm with a constant whistle.

Reed is our key. He has to play defense and stay on the floor to rebound. He’s worth 10 rebounds per game. No reaching in and if he allows some scoring so be it. Let’s face it, in the paint fouls can be called on nearly every play by refs and it can flat out determine games.
Our coaches must have both Centers fouls on isolation videos and showing them what not to do, I hope. Without position over the back gets called even on clean rebounds with just a bare touch so they have to clean that up. We’ll find out soon.
