I used to just copy and paste the link and with the update to X URLs that no longer works. Thanks.

Just overwrite the x.com with twitter.com

Click on the Share icon on the bottom of the tweet. When the menu comes up, don’t click on Copy Link, click on Share Via to open the tweet in your browser. You can copy the URL from your browser

I just copied the URL and pasted it here. It looks like it worked.

Just tried it. It worked for me!! I hadn't been able to post tweets for a week or two before trying this.
 
Weird...I pasted two links above. They appeared as Twitter, not x

If you cut and paste from the web, it's Twitter. From the app, it's x.com. Musk is a genius.

Ahhh. Explains why my phone pastes as x.
