Can Paige Win it all?

Can she and UConn? Yes. Will they? Well ...

I can't believe that I am going to type this, but....
On the ESPN app, I saw a Stephen A. Smith video titled "Paige Bueckers needs to shine in JuJu Watkins' absence".
Ummm no she doesn't. Stephen A. may consider JuJu the face of collegiate WBB but to many fans, Paige is the face and she only needs to be Paige in the tournament. Her and her teammates.
(BTW I really dislike Stephen A., always have, always will. I no longer listen to what he says, and he is not the only "voice" that I will not listen to.)

He's made a career out of ranting, yelling, and being angry all the time. It got really old for me...

That's what her goal is..she has Sara and Azzi to help her and now with JuJu out the path has become somewhat easier
She needs to play like she did last game and be aggresive not passive like she was against Iowa last year in the 4th quarter

As far as I can see, the main obstacles are the teams with the bigs: UCLA and Texas. She’s shown UConn how to win against the rest of the field. Can she lead UConn past either of them? I think so, but it’s a different calculus than with the others.

Horrible statement by Smith, just deplorable.

I'm no Debbie Downer...but kiss of death?

I think its gonna come down to us hitting our 3's or mid-range jumpers. If we are making our shots we don't have to worry about rebounding.
We also have to play great defense but we know how to do that already.

I believe Oklahoma will be the first test with Beers. I am sure Geno has set the strategy and practices for her. Hopefully, then there will be USC without a big and maybe, just maybe UCLA or Texas but my bet is on SC.

There are 3 #1 recruits on this team. There is a National Player of The Year on this team. Injury has held back our true big. The big situation has been a weakness for a very long time and still lives among us as our chief vulnerability in the run for the Nattie. Can we win. Yes, particularly if we can keep running people out of the gym. Who will have the toughest time: Their Bigs. Go get um dogs.

I always wonder WHY does he always seem to be yelling when he is talking on TV sports shows???

He knows zero about women's basketball and should not be a part of it.

Agree completely

I don’t particularly like Smith’s style either but I wonder to what extent it’s a false show to goose ratings. Regardless, his style resonates with a lot of viewers and ESPN has rewarded him accordingly.

I have seen enough interviews where Smith is the respondent and where he has been exceptionally reflective and eloquent and in a manner far from his usual bombastic tone.

All of us watched what they did to South Carolina when they are at their best. Teams like UCLA and Kansas State will have even more trouble with UConn than SC did. UCLA has Betts but she is not nearly athletic enough to keep up with UConn and without her they will struggle for consistency. To me UConn will win it all unless they just don't show up and play their level of ball. I may have mentioned this before but UConn has a better roster, by far than any other team in the country.
