Makes sense that he would take the guaranteed money for the security, but it seems like he's pretty quickly going to turn into the best contract in the NBA. They have him under team control for 3.5 more years at under $3mil per year.

Quite a family story with Cam’s brother Pat also on a 7 figure NBA contract after playing 1 year of college basketball (NW). 1 NCAA champion, 1 Loyola alum, lacrosse Heisman Trophy equivalent.

My favorite antics were when he would let entire fan sections in college have it after they tried to get on him. LOL it only psyched him up more. He likes playing in MSG more now than college because the place is filled with Knick fans. LOL. Whether positive or negative he gets everyone riled up. He's a huge added attraction.

NBA TV broadcast the Timberwolves feed of the game with the Grizzlies. I tuned in to watch Cam, not knowing he wasn't playing. Out of nowhere, the T'wolves color guy starts talking about how disappointed he was that Cam was missing the game as he had been looking forward to watching him play. The play-by-play guy agreed and they spent five minutes talking about Cam.
Killer Cam is definitely making a name for himself in the league. Shows what hard work and determination can do for you.

Agreed. I thought that but neglected to mention it. Was just think of him in year 2 in Dan Hurley system
