I have the misfortune of having been a TWC customer. I had no issues with them for the first two years, but since they were acquired by spectrum things have gotten a little hinky.
I am currently being billed by TWC, but all my TVs and my computers say Spectrum. I am paying for 50 mgs and when I run a test, it shows maybe 14 max.
When I call TWC they say my modem is out-of-date (installed 4/15) and they want me to buy a new modem and a splitter. When I call Spectrum they say "Yes, we will give you a new modem when the transfer is completed." When I ask when will be transfer will be complete, they cannot give me a date.
So, my question to all of you is: Has anybody ditched cable and gone to one of these streaming services, and if so, is it worth it?
