see if u can work a game out. smu just screwed them real late...we have been buddies for a while now. lets help them out and get another big time game on the schedule. this type of good will comes in handy down the road.

Odd how they had scheduled Baylor, Texas Tech, TCU and Texas A&M in the same year. Like they were trying to get the Southwest Conference back again.

SMU cancelled its 2013 Baylor game. UConn's 2013 schedule is set already.

bay has 6 home games and open dated 8/31, 9/14 and 9/28. btw they have buffalo visiting and so do we. anyway. the weekend of 8/31 we have townson visiting like a stupid friday night game or something. just completely silly. buy that out and get baylor to come up here. or go down there and get them on the hook for a return visit 4 to 5 years from now. i think this is completely doable and worthwhile longterm for us. put some bball games together also and get our baseball team a series in texas one spring. scrath each others backs. we have been friends for a while. we really need to do things liek this. we already have mich and md home this year, grow some balls.

Give up a home game for a road game? Doubt that happens, but if they want to come up here lets do it. We can do a return game next year.

Those games have great meaning for their fans I gather.

UConn's 2013 schedule will be arguably its hardest ever. We NEED to make a bowl game next year. Three straight years without going to a bowl would be devastating. With Michigan, Maryland, Louisville and Rutgers (all at home) on the schedule, there is no need to schedule another tough game. We need a couple of easy OOC games to work on our new offense and, therefore, have a chance to win some of the aforementioned games.

As for 2014 and beyond, we definitely need to play at least two good teams OOC every year, possibly even three.

Do we really need to be playing FCS teams though? Like really, Towson? Why not CCSU?

excuses excuses what happens when we have psu, tosu, uva, unc, gtech and fsu on the schedule not to mention ooc games every year. we have a great home slate already. sack up and do whats best for the future. go down to baylor and save there ass. get them to come up here in a couple years and get some bball and other games out of it. small time thinking gets u townson types every year. the b10 isnt playing fcs teams anymore. lets beat them to it and show them we mean business also.
