call to the post for pundits re Marquette score predictions

One of you was only a single point off in your prediction of G-towns point total. And the winner was only a total of seven off the actual score of both teams, calling for 70-50 in a 75-48 outcome.

But, don't be intimidated to try your hand on predicting the Sat score.....lousy predictions will be met with only limited ridicule, I'm sure.

Ok, nearly 24 hours until game time, and Win is getting impatient.

Very sketchy research. We won by 32 in December 2010, when Marquette was pretty good. We won on the road by 85-45 last year. I look for something similar.

I'll assume that Kaleena is healthy and out of foul trouble. I'll also assume that Breanna continues her progress with another double-double. I'll also assume that Moriah continues her solid play and really pushes the pace. Thus, I like a high score for us.

I look for a lot of steals early on, but less defensive pressure after halftime. If Plouffe is not in foul trouble, she may be effective, but it's hard to see the team getting to 50.

Prediction (to be a little different): 94-44.

Marquette has decent size and good rebounding stats. Effects of ND debacle may linger for one more game. I foresee Marquette getting nearer to their ave score, call it 61. UCONN, a bit under their ave score. Call it. 79.
