Call me the latest St Joseph's fan

Such a wonderful story.

We often forget (or don’t realize in the first place) that young adults occasionally suffer from illnesses we associate with being much older. The man who was my supervisor for half of my career had a stroke at age 28. And it’s not as if he was someone who had an unhealthy life style, smoking excepted - he had recently been discharged from the Navy.

We had a close friend who had a massive stroke at age 41. He survived, but has never been remotely the same since. He was a brilliant engineer left with no choice but to live out the rest of his life in assisted living situations.
