Vital is the one I would take out.
I would put Bouk in his place.
Vital has always needed to come off the bench, in the same role John Gwynn, Brian Fair, and Rashad Anderson played in the past.
Gilbert needs a consistent shooter from deep at both SG and SF to allow him to roam into the paint without getting completely swallowed up, like what's happening now. It's a spacing issue. Vital, since he can only focus in small spurts, is the antithesis of consistent.
I think Bouk has a far better chance of growing into a consistent off-the-ball scorer this season than Vital.
I have no idea what to do about the frontcourt. Other than Akok, the talent just isn't there. Carlton looks like he's playing with lead sneakers and cement underwear. Polley can't rebound or defend. Whaley hustles, but doesn't have a single skill I would call above average.
At least we can tell frontcourt recruits they'll get a serious shot at playing time next year.
