Hangover game for UA? Took 3 1/2 minutes to get on the scoreboard, trailing 4-2 early.

Took 8 minutes for Arizona to get their first FG. Making a living at the FT line. Cal leading 10-9.

22-10 now. Is Arizona really gonna fall flat on their face after one of the biggest wins in program history?

Whoa... check out this score. Cal will probably choke it away later.

Arizona is 2-16 from the floor. The kitties are gagging on a hairball.

Cal was up 30-19, Arizona went on a 7-0 run to end the half. Hopefully they can carry that momentum into the 2nd half.

Arizona up 1, Cal misses a pair of FTs, then Cats give up the O board and put back. 55-54 Cal w/ 13 seconds left.

Cal misses two much needed free throws but get the reb and score on the second one.

Arizona w/ an absolutely horrible loss at home to the worst team in the conference. What the hell?
Reverse trap game. They probably put 99% of their energy into preparing for Friday's Stanford game and didn't leave enough in the scouting or effort tank for an early Sunday game. McDonald was hobbling around post-game on Friday, and she probably left it all out on the court then to get the W.

Wow. Pretty shocking.

Arizona almost certainly would've been in the committee's top 10 after beating Stanford, as I believe they would devalue their loss to Utah due to McDonald's absence.

But there's no devaluing this. A bad loss to the last place team in the Pac-12, RPI #125.

I'm gonna have to take a closer look at the resumes after today to see where this leaves Arizona.

Who had a worse Sunday... Arizona, FSU, or Kentucky
Tough question.

I'll say:
1. Arizona (likely #3 seed losing at home to last-place Cal immediately after beating Stanford)
2. FSU (bad loss, also at home, but FSU is only a 5 or 6 seed and ND is frankly better than Cal)
3. Kentucky (at least they have the excuse that it was on the road on Vandy's senior day; Kentucky's been overrated all season anyway)

I'm stunned, but didn't go and wasn 't totally surprised. Trap game, Senior Day and the injuries. I am extremely disappointed, didn't "expect it" but as I say I can't say it is as shocking as it would have been on another day.

This really dents Arizona's hope for hosting.

I'm even disappointed as an ASU fan. I certainly hope this doesn't eliminate the Wildcats chance to host.

It does set up a very important rematch with ASU in the quarterfinals of the Pac tournament. Tough to beat a team three times in a season and if ASU does win that game I wonder if that does endanger Arizona's opportunity to host.
