You can really see with that scene why his players love him. JC could be a freakin' tyrant but then you see him with complete and utter sincerity and respect/love/admiration for his player. As a player, that has to be an amazing feeling.

Calhound did recruit all these kids (hell he recruited and coached most of the coaching staff), he certainly can feel a major part of this run as well. There has got to be an awful lot of validation and pride for JC in witnessing this.
