Mike Francesca was saying on the fan today that he thinks it would be a bad move for Cal to leave Kentucky for the NBA because he has the top job in college ball.
He said that Cal is great at taking one and dones and turning them into NBA players and that his style of play (ball handling, driving to the basket etc) prepares them well for the NBA game. Francesca once again contradicts his own arguments (as is often the case). I think his supporting evidence actually shows why Cal SHOULD coach in the NBA, not why he shouldn't. If he can turn kids into NBA players and coaches an NBA style of play well, why shouldn't he coach in the pros?
Franseca also missed the biggest reason why Calipari would take the Knicks' job: His immense ego.
