Travel in the Big 12 can't be much worse than travel in the AAC. Still, the long term viability of the Big 12 will always be up for debate. It's becoming obvious that Texas has overplayed it's hand. Texas is big but not ND big and they don't have the national cache. The languid LHN is proof of that. IMO, the Big 12 would be best served making the jump to 16: BYU, Cinci, UConn, Temple, Tulane and UCF. It's a bold, bold move but it gives the league an eastern pod, new media markets, new recruiting grounds and some academics.
