A thousand times this. We've been way too liberal with playing true frosh OLinemen the past few years. Any other position I'm fine with. But the chances of Peart making a material difference this year are minimal at best. You don't blow a year of eligibility for that.

On the Johnson/Newsome split. I'd almost like to see some sets on passing downs with both of them in there. Get Newsome in to the flat on the wide side immediately and use Johnson to pick up blitzes and stunts. Once clear, send Johnson to the short side. Make defenses defend horizontally. Teams still feel like they can tee off on the QB without reprecussions. UConn has to make them stutter or slow down on blitzes.

Lol.

It's worth the listen. Mendenhall doesn't seem the least bit concerned about us. I suspect we'll all know right quick if that's going to be a good thing or bad thing Friday night. The message is that we better be ready for a fight and taking all they got.
