And with a twist: it's a rare situation where the team with the most first-place votes didn't receive the most points across all ballots.

Also receiving votes (on at least two ballots): Tennessee 33, Arkansas 26, FGCU 24, Rutgers 10, LSU 7, Georgia Tech 6.

The following teams appeared on only one ballot: None.

Thank you to all who voted in the first BY25 poll of the new decade. The next poll will be Monday, Jan. 27, 2020.

An observation and a question.

Observation:
I notice Florida St. is "14" with 187 points and Indiana is "13" with 182 points. I assume data entry unless you are using formulas to calculate.

Question:
Is it possible to provide subset polls of UConn and Non-UConn? Is there enough information to identify those submitting polls to differentiate?

Thanks for catching that. I'd had to re-sort one final time and forgot to re-number accordingly (my Excel skills are nowhere near your level :) )

I don't know the fan affiliation of all voters.

Tennessee deserved to be rated, and relatively high.

Watch out for that game.
Tennessee has beaten no one of significance. Their three losses aren't bad (Kentucky, Stanford, and Texas), but they are ranked 35th by Massey and have exactly ONE win over a team that has a winning record (Georgia, at 10-7). ONE. And most of those teams are cupcakes in cupcake conferences, which makes that doubly unimpressive. What that suggests to me is that they have yet to prove they can win against a good team.

(Put it this way: Dumpster-fire Notre Dame at 90th (and 7-11) is the second highest ranked Massey win for the Lady Vols after 75th ranked Georgia. Truly an unimpressive roster of defeated opponents if ever there was one.)

But watch out for Tennessee this year. Scary. They're not HW's team anymore. Don't look like the pissed off, dysfunctional group they did before.

They lost to Kentucky, but it was very close. They play tough. New era down there....

I don't participate in this poll mainly because I don't watch or read about a ton of non-Uconn games but in the AP Top 25 thread I posted about the position of UCLA in that poll. It seems the voters in the BY-25 see it as I do when it comes to the Bruins.
And also with respect to the Baylor/SC voting.

Thanks - though I think there's something wrong with Arizona's loss column?

Ha yes, thanks for that. I was writing over last week's table and was sure to make a mistake or two.
