Thanks to all who voted.

Also receiving votes (on at least two ballots): Michigan State 14, Minnesota 13, Princeton 10, Drake 7, Northwestern 6, Rutgers 6, Creighton 4.

The following teams appeared on only one ballot: Georgia Tech, Kansas, Ohio State, Iowa.

Hahaha this "color analyst" is certainly colorful: "That was a good call. I didn't really see the foul, but it was a good one" :p She also repeatedly refers to Mississippi State as "Mississippi"

It's frustrating to see that poll inertia still exists for big name teams from the SEC. Yes, I'm calling those who voted for Arkansas and Tennessee out. Missouri State and Gonzaga continue to get no love from the powers that be, and teams like Creighton, who BEAT West Virginia, South Dakota State, Nebraska, and Temple get left out despite having no bad losses compared to Tennessee and Arkansas. The best win for the SEC schools is who? A terrible Notre Dame?

Ok, I guess I should make an effort to actually put something together and send it weekly as I do like creating lists. To me, our fellow BYers got the top 6 right and there should be drop off. I guess I was unimpressed by Louisville yesterday and combining that game with their loss to tOSU has me more down on the Cards than others. I also think FSU is overrated and would have NC St ahead of them. I like the amount of love given to Indiana, though not sure if they could beat Maryland. I also have seen enough of Texas A&M to modify my stance on them beating SC (not likely) and they should be behind Maryland. My immediate assessment is could a team beat the team above/below them on a neutral court to validate my view (or anyone’s view). The top 6 are a toss up. Last few teams are a toss up as I struggle to put Tennessee on the ballot (despite how good KJH has done). Same for Michigan. I need to see more. This poll is much better than the poll just released today! Did I say how much smarter this group is instead of the scribes who do vote?

I voted in the poll and had both Missouri State and Gonzaga in my top 20...but also had Tennessee at #23. Included South Dakota, as well, at #24, as well as Florida-Gulf Coast at #17. I had Depaul at #12; they have really impressed me so far this season...but that ranking is way higher than the Boneyard aggregate.

I suspect the Boneyard poll is probably closer to the actual true ranking of the teams, given our passion for the sport and the intense scrutiny we give to all teams that sportswriters and participants in other polls may be too distracted to give to the WCBB universe.

I voted in the poll. Have Tennessee at #24. They are huge and talented. Not last year's Tennessee. Missouri State at #18. FGCU at #22. Did not vote for Arkansas.

Have Maryland at #10 and Texas A&M at #11.

Have Gonzaga right ahead of DePaul- #16 and #17.

Have South Dakota, Arizona, Princeton and Northwestern among 19-25 spots.

Yes, Creighton has done well. So far. Just having trouble getting my mind around, well, Creighton?

Hey, it's a process!

On the other hand, Louisville beat Texas-Arlington by 9 points. Northwestern beat Texas-Arlington today by 27.

Clearly, there is strong quality among the previously unknowns of the WCBB world. Times have changed!

Transitive property doesn't really work. UTA lost by 9 to Louisville and by 37 to Oregon. Doesn't mean that Oregon is 28 points better than Louisville, obviously.

It would be nice to see where the 13 voters loyalty lie. Of course there is UConn. If I were to guess, Oregon, Oregon State, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Duke, Notre Dame and Maryland are represented.

After last night's game with DePaul, do we honestly believe that UConn is#2 in the nation? That was a team with no starter over 6'1", but they were within single-digits of us with less than a minute left.

Just trying to be objective. I've seen UConn's great and near-great teams for a quarter century, and I'm just not seeing it this year.

Yet UConn is still undefeated. They are not dominating, but they are winning which counts. Very impressive to me.

It means there are NO great or near-great teams this year. It's open season for the top prize at end of season. As @TerpWomenFan said, yet UConn is still undefeated. I posted in the post game comments, UConn beat a top 16 team (do we honestly believe that DePaul is #16 in the nation?). They played in Chicago and they held the nations highest scoring team to 74 points, yeah that second half wasn't ideal but they held on to win.

The problem with polls is that there is little first hand observation involved so they might be fun but mostly pointless, often relying more heavily on history than reality. It won’t be until mid to late February before there is any degree of accuracy.

Just as a point of clarification, the Oregon game is an exhibition.
